My “why”

I’ve written one of these a few years ago and it has shaped me in a way that has helped me stay focused. Every so often I come across it and reminds me of how far I've come since then. So I think it’s time to make a new one. It seems fitting given the situation I'm in right now about to start this journey I’m on.

This is why I do what I do. Why I run every chance I get. Why I work overtime every opportunity. Why I work hard at everything I put my mind to. Why I always give it my all and pour my heart into everything that I do.

My “why”:

  • So I can leave a legacy to my children. So they know that their dad did something in life.

  • To inspire people to do something great, no matter their circumstances.

  • So I can give my wife and kids not only what they need but what they want and deserve.

  • So that they have presents to open up on Christmas Day.

  • So that one day, I don’t have to work so had.

  • So my wife can stay home and not have to work two jobs.

  • To motivate people through my actions.

  • To prove everyone who ever doubted me, wrong.

  • To prove to myself that I do have what it takes to be great.

  • To be remember as someone who gave a damn about this world and tried to make it a better place.

  • So that people who are lost, not lose hope in life. Because there is good in the world.

  • So that when kids see on old man running they’ll ask how can he still run.

  • To be the example I would want my kids to follow. Not only that but be greater than I ever could.

These are a few reasons behind the things that I do in life. I’m not perfect. I make mistakes and I make bad choices sometimes. But I Pray and Hope for the best in life. It’s God’s will what happens to us all.
